What we are doing
We pride ourselves on being active leaders in all aspects of the parking profession, staying at the forefront of best practice and emerging trends.
- Nigel is President of the European Parking Associates (EPA) and from 2014-22 was the Chair of the Board of Directors for the British Parking Association (BPA), where he was previously President and Chair of the Professional Development and Standards Board. He has also chaired the Smarter Parking group of the UK government’s Transport Technology Forum (TTF).
- Keith is a member of the BPA’s Technology, Innovation and Research Board and the Equipment Manufacturers Special Interest Group.
- Gordon developed many of the pricing policies and operational procedures now considered best practice and has a deep understanding of the often-conflicting priorities and desires of retailers, tenants, and residents when developing new parking strategies.
- Andrew has twice served on the jury of the biennial European Parking Association Awards.
- PML team curated and co-hosted the annual Parking & Property Conference with Landor Publishing, a leading event for public and private sector experts in the property, parking, transport, technology and construction fields and explored the interaction between cars, people and places.
Involvement in specific sector initiatives include:
- APDS – Nigel chairs APDS and Keith is a board member and involved in the working groups. Their technical specifications were adopted for the global parking data standard.
- NPP – We lead the development of the NPP, funded by the Department for Transport and hosted by Manchester City Council, which facilitates data access and payment options for parking choices.
- TRO Discovery Project – Nigel was a Business Visionary on the Project Board for this government-funded project that standardised and digitised Traffic Regulation Orders for the introduction of Connected and Autonomous Vehicles.
- BPA Skills Strategy – Nigel chaired this work that increased professionalism and productivity by creating a qualifications framework and defining standards.
- BPA Model Contract – Nigel and Andrew played a key role in the development of this contract which influenced the drafting of outsourced parking enforcement contracts.
